Protection of water sources for drinking-water production from pollution by nitrate, pesticides etc. Please consider abstract submission
to the following two topics:
[1] Theme G, ‘Managing protected areas for water supply and nature conservation’, with water supply related topics G.1, G.5, G.6, G.7 and G.8, see webpage ‘Themes and Topics’;
[2] Special Session S2 on approaches and measures for protection of drinking water resources against nitrate and pesticide pollution, see webpage ‘Special Sessions’. In Europe and elsewhere, diffuse pollution of nitrogen and pesticides from agriculture is the main obstacle to meeting the drinking water quality targets. The objective of Special Session S2 is to present and discuss governance approaches, and measures for protection of drinking water resources against nitrate and pesticide pollution.
